Voltra TV v9 is an Android APK, so the first step is checking whether your Fire TV model still runs Android-based Fire OS. Compatible Fire OS devices can use the official Voltra download; newer Vega OS devices are a different platform and are not Android APK targets.
Voltra TV is not affiliated with or endorsed by Amazon. Fire TV and related device names are Amazon trademarks. Device software, menus and sideloading availability can change; verify your exact model before installing.
Check your Fire TV model first
Amazon describes Fire OS as an Android-based operating system and says Fire TV maintains compatibility with Android apps. That applies to Fire OS models—not every product currently sold under the Fire TV name. Amazon’s current Fire TV device list identifies both Fire OS and Vega OS hardware.
Examples of Android-based models suitable for checking against Voltra’s Android 6.0 minimum include:
- Fire TV Stick 4K Max (2nd Gen, 2023) and Fire TV Stick 4K (2nd Gen, 2023), both listed with Fire OS 8.
- Fire TV Stick 4K Plus (2025), listed with Fire OS 8.
- Fire TV Stick HD with Alexa Voice Remote (2024) and Fire TV Cube (3rd Gen, 2022), both listed with Fire OS 7.
- Amazon Fire TV Omni QLED, 2-Series and 4-Series 2025 televisions, listed with Fire OS 8.
Install with Downloader code 1165642
- On the compatible Fire OS device, install and open the Downloader app.
- Enter the official Voltra Downloader code 1165642.
- Confirm that the destination is voltra.tv. The reserved direct-download address is https://voltra.tv/download.html.
- If Fire TV blocks the installer, follow the device prompt to allow installation from Downloader.
- Return to Downloader, open the downloaded package and choose Install.
- Open Voltra TV v9 from the apps area after installation completes.
Amazon calls installing an APK outside the Amazon Appstore “sideloading.” Its official installation documentation notes that sideloaded apps appear in the device’s app library. Menu names can vary by Fire OS version.
Install the APK without the code
You can also use the official Voltra TV television download route to get voltratvversion.apk, then move it to a compatible Fire OS device through a trusted transfer method. The file must come from voltra.tv; avoid renamed packages, modified builds and look-alike domains.

Fire TV troubleshooting
Downloader opens but the APK will not install
Confirm the device runs Fire OS rather than Vega OS, check free storage, and verify the device meets Voltra’s Android 6.0 minimum. Fire OS 5 devices are based on Android 5.1 and fall below that minimum.
The device says installation is not allowed
Use the Fire TV prompt or settings to allow installation for Downloader only. After Voltra is installed, you can turn that permission off again.
The model name is ambiguous
Open the Fire TV device information screen and compare the generation and release year—not just “Stick HD” or “Stick 4K.” Amazon has reused similar product names across Fire OS and Vega OS generations.
The app opens but remote focus looks wrong
Close and reopen Voltra, then confirm you installed the official v9 APK. Fire TV models vary in memory, display resolution and Fire OS version, so behavior should be checked on the specific device.
